Disk Cleaner & Visualizer is made by Epictetus LLC ("we"). You can reach us at support@takeoutjson.com.
The short version
- Disk Cleaner & Visualizer has no analytics, no tracking and no account.
- Your scan results, file names and folder sizes never leave your PC.
- The app connects to the internet for one reason only: activating Premium. It does not check for updates.
- We never sell or share data for advertising.
What the app sends
1. Activating Premium
Only when you enter a licence key or voucher, the app sends one HTTPS request to
diskcleaner-pay.takeoutjson.com containing:
- the key or voucher you entered, and
- a PC id: a 64-character code made by hashing your Windows installation's machine id together with a value specific to this app. It cannot be turned back into the machine id, and it is different from the id any other app would make.
We store which PC id holds which key or voucher, when it was first and last activated, and how many times. That is what lets one key work on one PC, and lets a reinstall on the same PC work without asking you. We keep this for as long as the licence exists. Write to us and we delete it; the key then needs activating again.
Nothing else about your PC is sent: not your name, your files, your drives or your Windows account.
2. No update check
The app does not check for updates and sends nothing when it starts. The version from the Microsoft Store is updated by the Store, under Microsoft's own terms. For the installer from this site, you download a new installer here when you want one.
When you buy Premium
Polar (polar.sh) sells Disk Cleaner & Visualizer Premium on our behalf as the merchant of record. Polar collects your payment details, email address and billing address, handles tax, and processes them under Polar's privacy policy. We never see your card details.
From Polar we receive your email address, the order and checkout ids, and which product you bought. We use them to send your licence key and to help you if you write to us. Our payment server's logs record order ids, not email addresses.
The email with your key is sent through Resend (resend.com), which handles your email address and the message only to deliver it.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Support email
If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you, and delete them when you ask.

Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@takeoutjson.com. Polar handles requests about payment data under its own policy. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to the authority that oversees privacy where you live.
Changes
If Disk Cleaner & Visualizer ever starts sending anything not listed here, this policy changes first, and the app tells you before it sends it.
